Documentations

It is strongly advised to ensure you possess a valid passport that remains valid for at least six months beyond your intended cruise ship returning date. Certain cruise liners may refuse boarding to individuals without a valid passport. However, for specific destinations such as Mexico, Hawaii, or Alaska, an original birth certificate may suffice. Nonetheless, it is crucial to verify the latest documentation requirements with the cruise line before departure.

Ship Departures Time

Typically, most cruise liners commence the boarding process around 12 PM and set sail from the port around 4 PM. Throughout your cruise, departure and arrival times for each port will be announced. It is imperative to adhere to these announcements, ensuring you return to the ship at least 15 minutes prior to the designated departure time. Failure to do so may result in being left behind.

Food / Drinks

Most food and beverages aboard the ship are complimentary, excluding alcoholic drinks, soda, and dining at specialty restaurants. Each ship features its own unique specialty dining options, providing guests with personalized service experiences.

If you desire alcoholic beverages or soda, you have the option to purchase them individually or opt for a 'drink package,' which offers nearly unlimited access to a variety of beverages. However, it's important to note that each cruise line offers different drink packages, so it's advisable to inquire with the specific cruise line for detailed information.

Internet Access

Internet access is available on most cruise lines, with the option to purchase a WiFi package while onboard. Typically, there are two types of packages offered: streaming and non-streaming. The streaming package provides access to video streaming platforms like YouTube or Netflix. However, for the majority of guests, the non-streaming package is sufficient. It allows access to social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter, as well as the ability to post, view pictures, and engage in chatting activities.

What To Do On Board

Numerous activities are available throughout the day, and their schedules are conveniently provided in the daily activities pamphlet, which your room attendant leaves in your cabin the night before. Alternatively, you can access the schedule through computer terminals situated throughout the ship. Typically, a main attraction show follows dinner service, timed to coincide with your chosen dining slot (either 5:30 PM or 7:30 PM). While all shows are complimentary, certain ones may necessitate advance registration to secure seating. For specific requirements, it's advisable to consult with your ship's staff

On Shore Activities

At each port, many guests opt to disembark from the ships to immerse themselves in local cultures and partake in activities such as snorkeling, dining, or sightseeing. Each port offers a unique array of experiences, so it's advisable to consult the cruise ship's shore excursion desk to arrange bookings in advance. Some excursions are highly sought-after and tend to sell out quickly, so booking ahead ensures you secure your desired activities.
